The West Park Nature Reserve is part of a larger scheme; West Park Village that consists of two large housing estates (Forest Green and West Park), a Primary school (Alderman Leach), nursery, public house and shops. It is a 12 hectare (30 acres) site that consists of tree plantations, wildflower meadows and wetlands.
The reserve is always developing; a new 4x bike track was built in 2007. The track is an area where everyone can improve their biking skills, learn a new sport or just socialise with like-minded people. There are numerous paths to take walks round the area, or why not try and find the pieces of the Jabberwocky, explore the sculptures and read the poetry placed around the park. The reserve is at the centre of the West Park Village development and is accessible by road, bus, cycle and foot paths.
